An Indian themed wedding cake requested by a client. The colors hurt my eyes but I'm told it looks really Indian so... mission accomplished!

Yeah, it does look very Indian. They do love bright colors. After I put on sunglasses, I thought this was very beautiful! =p

It looks very indian, and very nice... and like you could knock on it. Is the icing as hard as it looks?

The icing remains a little soft because of the cream coating under it and also because I live in a tropical country where it is super humid. But yes, the longer you leave it, the harder it will get. 2-3 days is usually still fine.

o.0 cream? You just win! WIN!
btw I like hard icing (aswell as soft icing =D), if it's not too thick to eat ^D^

I've always liked that color combo and I think the whole look of this cake looks refreshing and simply wonderful.

Thanks. I was actually quite horrified when I was told what the color combination was supposed to be but I guess it turned out ok.

The first time I saw that color combination was an outfit in W magazine several years ago. I kept staring at it and thinking what an unusual color theme, but the more I stared, the more it grew on me. You have to have the absolute perfect shades of those colors though, and you've done that.
