There have been more than a few people saying lately that the price of my cakes are too high. Rather than trying to argue that customized cakes are indeed expensive not because of the ingredients, but because of the amount of workmanship involved, I thought I'd let pictures do the talking.

That's right. The cakes I used for comparison were found on the website of one of my country's most famous and highly regarded patisseries. KG for KG, each and every one of my cakes is cheaper, yet people tell me I'm expensive...

That is absolutely insane....cause...most of those other cakes...I'm going to be blunt here....suck.....lol The last one scared me....Yours are completely amazing. They go far beyond the call of duty & are just .... I can't describe the awesomeness!
People always complain about everything. It'd be really great if it were possible/ok to actually post these pics someplace where your customers could see them. I think it would make a phenomenal difference.

I hardly charge anything for a cake that I worked 8 hours on, because when I go charge per hour they would go insane.
So I dont charge per hour, I charge a cake by piece and believe me that doesnt compare with the amount of work either.
Still they complain..
At some point I can understand them though, A cake = A cake and is going to be eaten at some point. Who want to pay $1000 for a cake? Well I'm not one of them
And we are the ones that are the perfectionists, we want to make any cake from our hands special.
But then again, they order a special cake and they can see in our galleries what kind of quality they can expect so they should know what they are going to get and what they are paying for.
